This never has its roots at the lumbar part of a person’s spinal cord which is located in the lower back area. The nerve’s endings stretch all the way through the buttock area and provides feeling into a person’s lower limbs. When this nerve is damaged it can cause mild, serious or severe back pain for many people. Most people develop this problem due to a herniated disc.

Sciatic pain is very uncomfortable for most people. It can severely cause damage to their body and leave them temporarily immobile. People often use pain medications, hot and cold treatments and physical therapy to treat this problem. Exercising and stretching also helps a person to repair their back problems as well.
How long does it take to correct sciatica?
Sciatica can last anywhere from a couple of months to a lifetime. It just depends on the person and how severe their case is. Physicians and lower back pain specialists develop various treatment plans for patients. These treatment plans typically can help to ease the pain and problems associated with sciatica but it might not necessarily heal this problem. Ultimately, healing must be looked at on a case by case basis.
